With over 15 years in the accounting and finance industry, Terence is a highly talented, results-driven finance and accounting executive with senior level leadership experience across multiple industries. With a solid understanding of US GAAP and complex accounting issues, Terence has demonstrated the ability to seamlessly integrate all aspects of a company’s operations with their financial planning and reporting functions. Terence’s continued success draws on detailed understanding at the transactional level and smart implementation of executive company-wide strategies. Terence’s professional expertise and proven methods create solutions and results for the financial components of a company that allow it to truly focus on its core business and operations.

Career

Prior to forming TPK Consulting LLC, Terence served as Chief Financial Officer of Strome Networks, a provider of telecommunications physical infrastructure. Specifically, the company offered fiber-optic solutions to enterprises such as carrier networks, content providers, internet service providers, universities, small businesses, government enterprises and data centers. At Strome Networks Terence managed the day-to-day operational and financial aspects of the company, establishing processes and procedures for all facets of the company. He oversaw contract reviews with outside counsel, prepared a monthly reporting package for stakeholders and streamlined the turn-up process for customers. He was responsible for all financial, regulatory, and compliance reporting with the various licensing/governing bodies. Terence also handled the creation and maintenance of financial models which Strome Networks, offering its stakeholders more visibility into short-term results and forecasted long term value. He managed relationships with all third parties, including external auditors, consultants, counsel and banks. Terence maintained all communication with these groups which resulted in optimal use of all company resources. 


Terence worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLC in their Financial Services division. At PwC he specialized in the audits of large public multi-national insurance clients, handling the financial reporting and assurance needs of those entities. In particular, his focused on the financial products being offered by these companies, the processes by which they were accounted for and the ultimate US GAAP accounting treatment. Terence was tasked with managing large teams during this period as the audits were on billion-dollar corporations. His time at PwC solidified his knowledge and understanding of US GAAP and regulatory compliance and enhanced his work ethic and leadership skills.


Terence worked at the accounting firm O’Connor Davies Munns & Dobbins, LLP (now PKF O’Connor Davies, LLC), where he started as an associate. He served clients in a variety of industries, performing assurance work, preparing and reviewing tax returns and working on smaller client advisory projects. His experiences at O’Connor Davies provided him with a solid accounting and financial foundation and gave him insight into company structures.

Background & Education

 

Terence was born and raised in Queens, New York. From early age he developed an interest in community outreach, both at school and through his church. He attended Regis High School in Manhattan, where he continued his service commitment and community/school involvement. Terence attended the College of the Holy Cross located in Worcester, Massachusetts where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Accounting. He currently holds an active Certified Public Accountant license in the state of New York. He is members of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.
